Copyright ownership

Books, manuscripts, covers, illustrations, photographs, videos, music, trademarks, logos and other materials remain the property of their respective copyright and other rights holders. Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, Richman Author Business does not acquire ownership merely because material is uploaded, displayed, marketed or made available through the platform.

Author responsibility

Authors are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights, permissions and licences for material they submit, upload, publish, advertise or share through the platform. Authors must not use Richman Author Business to distribute material that infringes another person's rights or breaches applicable law.

Mbokodo-published catalogue

At the initial launch, the Reading Room catalogue is intended for books published by Mbokodo Publishers and approved for platform inclusion. Eligibility, access and removal remain subject to platform rules and publishing agreements.

Protected books

Book files are intended for authorised online reading. The platform is designed not to provide readers with downloadable copies of protected book PDFs. Marketing materials, mockups and approved videos may be downloadable where the author is permitted to use them.

AI and partner services

AI-generated or partner-produced materials are subject to the applicable service terms and Richman controls. Authors remain responsible for reviewing marketing material before publication and for ensuring that claims, images, names and other content are appropriate and authorised.

Payments and earnings

Subscription, payment, Reading Pool and author settlement figures shown in demonstrations are not proof of a completed transaction. Production payments will be processed and verified through the approved payment architecture.
